About Me

Larry is a Mental Health Counselor and a retired member of the United States Air Force. He was born in England and spent his childhood living in multiple countries and states as his family, also Air Force, moved frequently. He and his wife of 40 years have three daughters and four grandchildren.

After retirement Larry returned to school and earned a BS in Psychology from Boise State University in 2003, and an MS in Marriage and Family Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University in 2005. Working from a Christian perspective he has a broad range of experience in dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds, and particularly enjoys working with adolescents and families. His theoretical basis for counseling is Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT).  Larry shares his office with Jake, his Golden Retriever who will provide a joyful, furry welcome. 

In practice 16 years as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Northwest Nazarene University specializing in Marriage and Family Counseling he is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients including adolescents, adults, children, couples and families. 

Larry's therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
